Viktor Frankl was a survivor of the Nazi prison camps. His experience forced
him to see men and women at the lowest of their humanity, and what he saw was
this: “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human
freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances to choose
one’s own way.”
I've included a link to his book, only because it is so wonderful.
